AYSO United National Staffing Adjustments

AYSO United is delighted to announce it has made some internal staffing adjustments that will allow its club program to support the growing membership base and deliver a world class youth soccer experience to AYSO United players.

“This is a very exciting time for AYSO United. As a national club program, we have to continually look at ways we can increase the support our clubs receive as well as utilize the talent we have in AYSO. James, Grant and Anthony have shown a commitment to AYSO and AYSO United and their energy and passion will drive AYSO United forward,” stated AYSO United National Director, David Thomas.


James Janosz – Director of Youth Affiliates

James Janosz will assume the role of Director of Youth Affiliates allowing AYSO United club programs to operate efficiently and deliver a premium youth soccer experience. The Director of Youth affiliates will oversee the operations of AYSO United clubs outside of Southern California, ensuring that the national club program continues to meet the high standards set by American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).


Anthony Fulton – Southern California General Manager

Anthony Fulton will oversee operations for AYSO United’s 10 training locations in Southern California. Anthony will work closely with the Directors of coaching and club managers to ensure AYSO United operations are streamlined to provide the best possible support to our players and families. In addition, Anthony will continue his role as Director of Coaching in the South Bay area as AYSO United continues to build its premiere club in SoCal.


In additional to management changes AYSO United is also excited to add Grant Heywood to the Technical team.

“As a National Club program we are constantly evaluating and assessing how we can best support our affiliate clubs across the country to ensure we are continuing to work towards the highest standards and expectations in youth soccer. Adding Grant to the technical team will enhance our clubs ability support, train and educate our coaches to the highest standards possible,” says AYSO United National Technical Director, Paul Bright.


Grant Heywood – National Director of Coaching

In addition to his Southern California Director of Coaching role, Heywood will work alongside National Technical Director, Paul Bright. The National Director of Coaching will be responsible for supporting our national coaching staff ensuring that AYSO United coaches are provided resources and education to deliver a first class club soccer experience. In addition to being an AYSO Advanced instructor, Heywood is also a USSF ‘A’ Licensed coach and US Soccer coach Educator.
